What can I expect during Reiki or Pranic Healing Services?
People’s experiences vary during a session; however, most people feel the energy as heat. Some describe the feeling as a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around them. Others may feel tingling, vibrating or waves of energy from the hands of the practitioner. Most people feel a great sense of relaxation, calm and peace during the session, and incredibly energized and clear afterwards.
Who should NOT have a Vaginal/Yoni Steam?
Women should not steam while menstruating. That’s the body’s natural cleansing process & should not be interfered with by steaming. Women who are pregnant, or think they may be, should NOT receive vaginal steaming. Many of the herbs used can alter hormone levels and cause contractions of the uterus. However, after delivery, a vaginal steam could be very beneficial to healing and restoration.
Women with open sores, blisters or a fever present are encouraged not to steam until the symptoms have subsided.
And although minimum contraindications have been reported, women who have an Intrauterine Device (IUD) should steam with caution.
How private is my yoni steam session?
This is a very intimate service yet it can be shared with your closest girlfriend(s). You are fully covered in the sauna cape and the only parts of your body exposed are your neck and feet. There are no underwear worn during the vaginal steaming service. While many women prefer to be naked under the sauna cape, some only remove their panties under the cape. The degree of modesty is never dictated nor compromised and it’s totally your decision.
This is a full body detox. The room is heated to a gentle temperature which will induce sweating. A change of dry clothing is recommended if you intend to keep any garments on under your cape.
How often can I steam?
It varies. Each woman is different and every woman’s healing needs vary. There is no risk to having more frequent sessions. You could have daily vaginal steaming sessions and it would not create an adverse reaction in your body.
We generally recommend the first 3 sessions be done every 3-4 weeks and the following maintenance sessions, once per month. Many women utilize preventive care steaming 4 to 5 times a year. Women who suffer from pain, bloating, or exhaustion during menstruation can steam monthly within a few days or a week before their cycle begins. Many women start to see positive physical results after their 2nd session of vaginal steaming.
Women with fertility challenges should steam more frequently for a minimum of 90 days, especially during pre-ovulation, to make sure the tissue is moist and the cervical fluids are clear and plentiful.
